Welcome to Cameras for Conservation -
This is a new initiative in the country of Botswana, Africa. We host Botswana's Wildlife Photographer of the year competiton annually to promote conservation through photography and to showcase the work of the talented people in the country. We aim to use the imagery to conduct talks in schools and to take students into the country's National Parks and Game Reserves to teach people the value of bio-diversity. The 2012 competition is now closed for entries. The results will be published on this website on the 21st of April 2012 as well as on our Face Book page. The prize giving and awards will be held at the Motsana Centre in Maun, Botswana on the 20th April. Details of the 2013 competition will published shortly on this site. There will be new catagories over and above the ones offered in the 2012 competition that will include aerial photography and man and the environment. If you would like to get involved, then see how, on the "how to donate" page. With thanks Steven Stockhall and Guy Symons |
